what is wrong?

left and right, you hear debates about the RH bill. i really wonder why this bill is on the page of every news? is it that important? say yes but ask again, is it the most important? well of course the answer is NO. what about the INFO bill? although you might say that the two bills are different that comparisons are not feasible, however, THAT IS NOT MY POINT? what im trying to say is that if we want a better nation, we have first to deal with the topics/issues that burden us. is population growth rate really is the BIG PROB of our nation? I doubt! pls think again. pity yourselves. i was thinking of this " WALANG KURAP WALANG MAHIRAP." i think this tells more sense than saying such as "WALANG POPULATION GROWTH RATE WALANG MAHIRAP" honestly, the latter sounds a big joke. i am beginning to doubt the premise of the pro RH bill that due to pop increase it alleviates the condition of poverty. well, again, what about corruption? does it not even to be considered a bigger factor for poverty than pop growth?

well, what can we do? im thinkin  that this could be a detraction. if it is indeed a detraction, pls let us wake up and ask ourselves "what is wrong?"

accounting related issues

there are issues that relate to accounting and some of those are mentioned in this blog.

I and my friend were applying for a part time job at Hallar And Associates Consultancy Firm. We were interviewed by Dr hallar, the owner, and he talked about interesting thoughts related to accounting.
let me begin with this. Dr Hallar was wondering as to the behavior of Accountancy graduates who land jobs at auditing firms. accountancy is not just auditing. there are many things to do with accountancy such as cost accounting, tax planning, financial management, and the like. for me, i think that it would be better if the fresh grads will take jobs that will expose themselves to the operations of the company. why is that? it is because when you audit, what you are auditing is the result of operations. so, to make a better estimate of the audit risk that is at an acceptable  level, the auditor must have the experience of what has happened before. thus, supporting the idea of professional skepticism. im sure you know what this means. am i right? alright.

Dr Hallar said that auditing is a boring one because it is like counting the sheep after it has been put in its place. do you agree? how do you find auditing? for me auditing is a very good field to be honest and be a gatekeeper. it is in this field that you can make a difference by preventing inappropriate behaviors of businesses. i just hope that CPAs will stick to the standards of their profession and consider to be a man of honor and excellence. hehe....

according to my professor in UC Banilad, prof Biore, that if all accountants will unite in terms of integrity, there will be no more corruption. Businesses will pay the real tax. so, there will be enough revenue for the government to perform its functions. so if the Phil earns more from taxation there will be  a lesser need for borrowing. is it not? there are two sources of funds for the government. first is by taxation and the second one is debt financing.  this thing is related to the fiscal policy of the government.

Accountants are supposed to be honest. of course they must be! the code of ethics clearly defined it there that accountants must have integrity.  integrity is superior to competence. do you agree? alright. well, im sure that all CPAs are competent. im just wondering that if they are competent enough why is the Philippines buried with corruption? ah, you might say that corruption is very natural, that it is impossible for it to be gone, that it just cant be wiped out. ha! excuse me. i thought if there is a will there is a way. Should I start to think that corruption is IMMATERIAL? i dont think so.

the role of universities and colleges all over the world are extremely important to hone accountants of honor and excellence. seems familiar? universities and colleges must take an active part on this. why is that? for the simple reason that this is where formal education takes place. and what is education? education is preparation for life. it is not the preparation of any exams. that is the objective of the review school. do you get me?

what im trying to say is while the students are learning, teachers must not teach them how to be a cheat or a fraudulent individual. teachers must not tell their students that the world out there is like this so you must be like this.... do you follow? the role of the teacher is to teach their students the ideal scenario. and you might say that too idealism is far reachable. you are right but if we just follow what is ideal we will soon reach our destiny. and what destiny is that? the destiny of the straight and narrow path. ha! seems familiar? alright.

everything matters, so think!

more than you know

many say that accounting is a boring subject. it is very simple as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. others even hate the subject.well, i tell you it is more than just that. if you think that accounting is as simple as counting, ha! think again!
